75 years in motion. This is the motto the WITTENSTEIN group has chosen to tell its own story in this, its anniversary year. Founded in 1949 – initially as a maker of double chainstitch machines with an innovative cutter for the production of ladies’ gloves – the family business has constantly evolved ever since, repositioning itself several times over three generations.

Today, the WITTENSTEIN group is a driver of innovation in cybertronic drive technology with an annual turnover of more than EUR 500 million and around 2900 employees at over 40 sites worldwide. The international high-tech group develops customized products, systems and solutions for highly dynamic motion, maximum-precise positioning and smart networking.

Yet the name WITTENSTEIN stands, too, for a high level of community involvement and development as well as cultural commitment. For many years now, funding has been provided for both local and national research and cultural projects.

To enable it to also capitalize on its opportunities as effectively as possible in the future, the mechatronics specialist will remain true to its goal of continuous, customer-focused development in all dimensions coupled with optimal adaptation to highly dynamic markets – while fully embracing the company motto: WITTENSTEIN – one with the future.

In its anniversary year 2024, the WITTENSTEIN group is taking another important step towards internationalization – the extension of the US plant near Chicago, a significant investment which got under way last fall and is due to be completed in the summer.
