Johannes Arnold joins the Executive Management of WITTENSTEIN alpha GmbH
Johannes Arnold will share this top-level function with Dieter Derr, who was appointed General Manager of WITTENSTEIN alpha on April 1, 2008. Apart from joint strategic and organizational tasks, Mr. Derr is mainly involved in Sales and Marketing while Mr. Arnold will be responsible for Administration, Product Development and Product Management. Mr. Arnold joined WITTENSTEIN alpha from the Freudenberg Group, where he has held various positions. Following several international assignments mainly in Asia, he was Managing Director of Freudenberg Anlagen- und Werkzeugtechnik GmbH prior to his departure. His wide-ranging experience will prove invaluable as WITTENSTEIN alpha continues its evolution to a globally operating specialist with a reputation for excellence in mechanical systems.
WITTENSTEIN alpha GmbH develops and manufactures drive components and integrated systems. Its portfolio includes low-backlash planetary gearheads – of which over a million are currently in action around the globe – servo right-angle gearheads, complete drive units and mechanical solutions for rack-and-pinion systems and coupling connections. In addition to comprehensive engineering, WITTENSTEIN alpha also supports developers and designers in the machine building and drive technology sectors with its cymex® software solution – a powerful web based tool for sizing complete drive trains.
WITTENSTEIN alpha GmbH is one of eight Business Units of the WITTENSTEIN group (www.wittenstein.de). Highly precise planetary gearheads, complete electromechanical drive systems and AC booster systems are among the successful products manufactured by this Igersheim-based mechatronics group.
