WITTENSTEIN invested twelve million Euros in a brand new low-noise and low-emission production site with the intention of establishing the facility and thriving in an urban environment. The result is an innovative turn-key concept of process optimization, building and energy supply that customers can benefit from as well: a permanently climate controlled indoor environment warrants technical precision and stable processes. This ensures that the new WITTENSTEIN subsidiary in Fellbach produces innovative gearing solutions that guarantee high product quality combined with optimized delivery performance. WITTENSTEIN plans to fashion their new production site with a Shop Window Factory which will integrate individual Industry 4.0 sample concepts. The “fourth step of industrial development” illustrates the ultimate fusion of state-of-the-art production and internet-like technologies. Industry 4.0 allows an economical manufacture of extremely individual products through increased productivity and flexibility.
