Dr. Bernd Schimpf is new WITTENSTEIN SE Board Spokesman

Dr. Bernd Schimpf, already a member of the WITTENSTEIN SE Management Board, has just been appointed Spokesman of the WITTENSTEIN group, which has its headquarters in Igersheim (Germany). Originally a mechanical engineer, Dr. Schimpf will take over this role from Dr. Anna-Katharina Wittenstein, who will gradually devote more of her time to external tasks as part of the multi-step generational change process at this family-run company.

Prior to joining the WITTENSTEIN SE Management Board on April 1, 2016, Dr. Bernd Schimpf, *1962, was responsible for the running of WITTENSTEIN alpha GmbH, the Group’s biggest subsidiary.

Dr. Anna-Katharina Wittenstein will be taking a break until the end of November due to maternity leave.

The composition of the mechatronics corporation’s four-member Management Board will remain unchanged: in addition to Dr. Bernd Schimpf and Dr. Anna-Katharina Wittenstein, this body also includes Dr. Dirk Haft and Erik Roßmeißl.

The WITTENSTEIN group will likely end the 2016/17 fiscal year with total sales of approximately 337* million euros (*provisional figure). In comparison: Sales in 2015/16, 302 million euros.
