Industrial Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is expected to perform preventative and reactive maintenance and repair of machine equipment.
Responsible for the overall upkeep and repair of assigned areas whether through completion of the physical repair or through the coordination of vendors repair efforts.  Support facilities maintenance and provide technical assistance to the entire manufacturing operation.

Position Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain preventative maintenance plans for production machines together with Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Perform and / or schedule external support for preventative maintenance on production machine equipment.
  • Train and support machine operators on daily maintenance tasks.
  • Prevent, identify, analyze, and solve technical issues on production machines (including coordination of external vendors).
  • Assemble and disassemble warehouse shelving, assembly lines and fixtures.
  • Offer technical support to Engineering and Production about equipment maintenance, process improvement, and overall manufacturing excellence.
  • Perform or schedule maintenance on HVAC equipment.
  • Manage service calls for assigned tasks including vendor follow-up and approval of completed work
  • Suggest and implement improved designs to existing equipment components and systems.
  • Occasionally help with building maintenance including facilitating repairs to components of the site including, but not limited to, building walls, roofing, floors, plumbing, doors & hardware, light fixtures, appliances, cabinetry, drywall, ceilings, curbing and more.
  • Oversee external contractors, such as landscaping, snow removal, electrical, plumbing.
  • Review work orders & invoices
  • Other maintenance repairs and restorative projects as directed

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required. Associates Degree or Industrial Maintenance certification is preferred.
  • 2-5 years experience in industrial maintenance work on CNC machines or similar equipment.
  • Ability to create and maintain preventative machine maintenance plans
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to document work order issues by use of photos and emails
  • Ability to perform minor electrical and plumbing work
  • Follow all safety procedures
  • Basic HVAC knowledge
  • Effectively communicates with others
  • Effectively organizes and prioritizes work with attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills including Excel, Word. Power Point preferred
  • Demonstrates problem solving skills
  • Ability to make recommendations on budget, capital equipment, and inventory
  • Must be able to understand written and verbal instruction in English.
  • Valid driver's license
