Mechanical Assembler
for WITTENSTEIN Inc. at US - Bartlett, IL (USA)
Responsibilities
Primary purpose of this position is to assemble and test mechanical products per established procedures, guidelines, and time frames.
- Assemble mechanical products with a variety of tools and hydraulic presses according to specifications for this product and within the Assembly team.
- Read work instructions, production orders, BOMs, pick tickets, and special/technical orders for assembly.
- Detect and separate faulty parts, utilize test bench to test assembled gearboxes, and trouble shooting.
- Package gearboxes, complete orders, and report finished material.
- Good housekeeping for a clean and safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma or General Educational Development certificate (GED) is required.
- Ability to read blueprints, Bill of Materials, schematics, and diagrams.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Ability to effectively use tools to perform the task (including measuring equipment).
- Basic technical knowledge.
- Ability to work effectively with forms, department procedures, and objectives.
