Mechanical Assembler

Responsibilities

Primary purpose of this position is to assemble and test mechanical products per established procedures, guidelines, and time frames.

  • Assemble mechanical products with a variety of tools and hydraulic presses according to specifications for this product and within the Assembly team.
  • Read work instructions, production orders, BOMs, pick tickets, and special/technical orders for assembly.
  • Detect and separate faulty parts, utilize test bench to test assembled gearboxes, and trouble shooting.
  • Package gearboxes, complete orders, and report finished material.
  • Good housekeeping for a clean and safe environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma or General Educational Development certificate (GED) is required.
  • Ability to read blueprints, Bill of Materials, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Ability to effectively use tools to perform the task (including measuring equipment).
  • Basic technical knowledge.
  • Ability to work effectively with forms, department procedures, and objectives.
