Responsibilities

Primary purpose of this position is to paint mechanical products per established procedures, guidelines, and time frames and prepare parts for assembly.

  • Follow company technical work instructions, procedures, and standards.
  • Work with various paint and primer coatings, variety of painting equipment: paint guns, parts washer, paint mixer, belt sander, paint booth, variety of hand tools, and fixtures.
  • Prepare, clean, scuff, tape, and paint products according to specifications for each product. Regularly check and change paint booth filters.
  • Maintain kanban stock levels, reorder paint, tools, supplies, etc... ensure products are ready for assembly orders.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure highest quality is produced.
  • Report and record any quality deviations per the Material Review Board (MRB) process.
  • Record and store Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) according to schedule.
  • Maintain the equipment, tools, & fixtures used to paint products.
  • Handle inventory with care and attention to detail.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment per 6S guidelines.
  • Report time into the hours accounting per indirect task being performed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Technical or vocational training is preferred
  • Minimum one year painting related experience is required
  • Minimum three years continued precision painting in industrial environment and coating related experience is preferred
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Effective use of tools to perform the task
  • Effectively works with forms, department procedures, and objectives
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
